CASSOPOLIS — As the construction season gets underway in Cass County, here is an update on a few upcoming road closures:

• The bridge across Christiana Creek on Redfield Street just east of Adamsville Road in eastern Ontwa Township will be closed starting May 7 and will re- open by Aug. 24.
An outside firm, J. E. Kloote Construction will be replacing the bridge and installing a canoe landing. The detour will be Adamsville Road, US-12 and Cassopolis Street.

• The section of Redfield Street from M-62 to Brande Creek is scheduled for re-construction. This portion will be closed June 11 and re-opened by July 3. Reith Riley Construction has received the bid for the project. The detour will be M-62, May Street and Elkhart Road.
