Erwin single lifts Bobcats

CASSOPOLIS — Alex Erwin delivered a two-out single in the top of the sixth to lift visiting Brandywine to a sweep of Cassopolis in Lakeland Conference baseball Tuesday.

The Bobcats defeated the Rangers 15-3 in the opener and 7-6 in the nightcap.

Brian Kline laced a two-out, three-run triple to tie the game at 6-6 in the top of the fifth.

Erwin earned both wins and struck out a combined 14 on the day.

Millin also had a triple for Brandywine in the second game.

In the opener, Austin Searles, Erwin and Millin all doubled, while Kyle Duncan had four hits. Erwin finished with three hits and tossed a two-hitter in the opener.
