Eddies blank Coloma 2-0

EDWARDSBURG — Host Edwardsburg kept its Lakeland Conference soccer record perfect with a 2-0 win over Coloma Tuesday night.

The Eddies (2-3, 2-0 Lakeland) scored a goal in each half against the Comets (2-1-3, 0-1-1 Lakeland).

Paige Szlanfucht got the opening goal off an assist from Brittany Minix with 31:48 left in the first half.

Ally McIntee scored on a penalty kick with 16:36 remaining in the match to make it 2-0.

Edwardsburg outshot Coloma 26-5. Sophie Devenney had three saves for the Eddies. Cari Jarvis had 12 saves for the Comets.
