Workshop explains Cottage Food Law

Whether you have dabbled with a home-baked cookie under the Cottage Food Law, or dreamed about bottling grandma’s spaghetti sauce, food products are serious business.
The “Cottage to Commercial” workshop will deal with basic food processing, regulatory requirements, business development resources and related topics.
“Cottage to Commercial” will be offered from 3 to 5 p.m. April 25 at the Niles Entrepreneur and Culinary Incubator, 219 N. Fourth St., second floor, Niles.
Michigan State University Extension educators Jean Nichols, Joanne Davidhizar and Mark Thomas will teach the session.
Niles Main Street and Lake Michigan College are co-sponsoring the program.
