Niles mayor endorses Upton

Three members of the Michigan State Legislature announced their endorsement of Jack Hoogendyk for 6th District representative of the U.S. House of Representatives.

State representatives David Agema, R-Grandville, and Tom Hooker, R-Byron Center, are supporting Hoogendyk. State Sen. Jack Brandenburg, R-Harrison Township, also is backing him.

Upton announced this week he has been endorsed by Portage Mayor Pete Strazdas and Kalamazoo County Treasurer Mary Balkema.

Niles Mayor Mike McCauslin also appears on Upton’s website as an endorsement.
