Lakeland HealthCare will present “Fall Prevention and Medication Safety” in St. Joseph and Niles:

• Thursday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m., at the Center for Outpatient Services, 3900 Hollywood Rd., St. Joseph

• Thursday, May 3, at 6 p.m., at Lakeland Community Hospital, Niles, 31 N. St. Joseph Ave., Niles.

At this free class, participants will learn basic information about how to prevent trips, slips and falls including:

• How to reduce accidental falls

• Proper ways to balance

• Ways to make your home safer

Participants will also practice strength-training exercises using Wii Fit software and learn the importance of medication safety.

Registration for the class is encouraged, but not required; walk-ins are welcome.
