Marian Moyser

Family and friends will gather for a 100th birthday celebration in honor Marian E. (Walker) Moyser.

Mrs. Moyser was born April 1, 1912, in Niles. She was raised on the Walker Family farm located north of Niles. She started teaching in several one-room schoolhouses in Berrien Count: Miller in Buchanan, Geyer in Niles, Royal in Royalton Township, Elm Valley in Weesaw and Sawyer in Chikaming. She then acquired teaching positions and later principal positions in the Niles school district, retiring in 1976 after 44 years.

She resides at Brentwood in Niles and is still teaching through sharing life stories. One of her greatest joys is spending time with family. Before moving to Brentwood she used to love to tend to her flower garden and still loves to shop and read.
