Barn Swallow Theatre will hold open auditions for the play “Master Harold and the Boys” at 7 p.m. today and at 11 a.m. Saturday. Performance dates are June 14, 15, 16 and 17.
The cast requires three males: two middle-age black men (30-65) and one white teen (14-17).
This award-winning, one-act play by Athol Fugard is set in apartheid South Africa. It asks what happens to a boy coming of age in a racist society? What is the cost of treating men like boys?
