Marcellus nabs vandalism suspects

Three suspects were identified for allegedly vandalizing Marcellus Elementary School property March 9.
Cass County sheriff’s deputies responded to a breaking and entering at Marcellus Elementary School at approximately 7 a.m. It was discovered that the school, an outside greenhouse and the concession stand had been vandalized and items taken included electronics and a small amount of money.
Marcellus School officials reported that repairs from the vandalism will cost approximately $15,000 to $20,000.
After nearly two weeks of investigation by sheriff’s detectives and school officials, three suspects were identified. Detectives recovered some of the missing property from these suspects. Detectives are seeking charges against two 16-year-old juveniles and one adult. The adult’s information will be released upon his arrest and arraignment.
This incident remains under investigation.
