A unanimous Dowagiac Board of Education March 28 endorsed the Community Garden Project.

Supt. Dr. Mark Daniel reiterated that long-term plans are to rip up the unused asphalt tennis courts behind Union High, so plots will be “caged” and secure, with water available.

In the meantime, planting may take place by Pathfinders, the alternative education center across the West Prairie Ronde/Paul streets curve by DUHS.
