ST. JOSEPH – The Brandywine soccer team was blanked 8-0 by host Lake Michigan Catholic Thursday night in its season opener.

The Bobcats (0-1) trailed 2-0 at halftime, but gave up six goals in the first 34 minutes of the second half.

The game was stopped in the 75^th minute due to the mery rule.

Emily Kryska had three goals and an assist for the Lakers.
