Rebecca Jellison was hired as the new dean of nursing and human services at Southwestern Michigan College. Jellison begins her job at the college Monday.
Jellison has more than 35 years experience in the nursing and health care field, the past 11 years with Elkhart General Health Care Systems as manager of cardiovascular-related services.
While working for Elkhart health care system, she oversaw 85 employees, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of their quality program benchmarking and was instrumental in capital purchases, facility renovation, and budget management.
Jellison, of Elkhart, has a master’s degree in business administration and in nursing from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Goshen (Ind.) College.
