ST. JOSEPH — Berrien County Prosecutor Art Cotter will seek another term, he announced Thursday.
Cotter told Berrien County Commissioners that he has filed paperwork to run for another four-year term.
Cotter has been prosecutor since 2006 when he took over for Jim Cherry, who was battling health problems.
Cotter has spent more than 25 years in the Berrien County Prosecutor’s office.
He says that experience in the office has helped in his current leadership role.
“It helped that I was in the office as long as I was,” Cotter said. “I can’t say that I can’t be rattled, but I’m definitely calmer.”
No one else has filed for the post as of yet.
