Lakeland offers babysitting clinic

Lakeland HealthCare and Niles Service League are presenting a free class, “Babysitting with Confidence” from 8:35 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. March 24 at Lakeland Community Hospital, 31 North St. Joseph Ave. in Niles.

Fifth- and sixth-grade students are encouraged to take part in this free class to build
confidence in babysitting. This course will cover home and fire safety, infant and toddler care, food preparation, first aid and choking.

Participants will receive a “Babysitting with Confidence” card to verify the completion of this course.

Registration is required. Class size is limited. Participants should report to check-in between 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. in the basement. The opening session will start promptly at 8:45.

Participants and parents may enter in the front entry of the hospital. This class fills quickly.
