The Dowagiac Middle School wrestling team concluded its season Tuesday night against visiting Buchanan and South Haven.

“It was a good season and we had a lot of new faces on the mat,” Dowagiac coach Andy Crawley said. “I hope this experience stays with them and they carry it to next year. To the eighth grader, It’s been a great two years watching you guys develop and get better. I wish you continued success as you enter high school and start your chapter in Dowagiac wrestling history.

“To the seventh-graders, I enjoyed watching you guys get better each time out. I hope you will build on this and come back next year hungry for some action.

“We the coaches would like to say thank you to the parents for letting us mold your young men and help them develop skills and lessons that will help them as they mature.”

Winning two matches on the night were Nathan Tackitt and Brandon Hatch. Picking up one victory were Collin Hassle, Brock Moore, Elijah Luth, Scott Hassle, Logan Eby, Dakota Luna and Anthony Potter.
