Anyone caring for their parents can benefit from “Journeying with Your Parents into Their Old Age,” beginning at 9 a.m. March 8.
The three-week course is designed to help adult children and their aging parents deal with sensitive life topics.
Participants will be better prepared to communicate their needs and desires throughout their late life journey. The class covers topics such as when to give up the car keys, changes in living situations and how to help with medical and legal issues.
Family and sibling dynamics and long-distance caregiving are also covered.
This class will take place at the Council on Aging’s Lowe Center at M-60 and Decatur Road, Cassopolis, and is made possible through a service contract with Area Agency on Aging Region IV.
