CASSOPOLIS — A head-on crash Friday morning on M-62, a half-mile south of Oil City Road in Jefferson Township, injured two men.
Cass County Sheriff Joseph Underwood reports deputies responded at 7:13 a.m. Feb. 24.
A vehicle driven by Brian Cooper, 33, of Cassopolis, was traveling too fast for road conditions when the driver lost control, crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle driven by Mark Randal, 41, of South Bend, Ind.
Cooper was transported to Lakeland Hospital in Niles.
Deputies said Randal was injured, but refused medical treatment.
Life Care Ambulance Service and Cassopolis Fire Department assisted deputies at the scene.
Seatbelts were used. Alcohol was not a factor, deputies said.
