Dowagiac picks up second win

SOUTH HAVEN — Visiting Dowagiac rallied from a 12-9 first quarter deficit to pick up its second victory of the season Tuesday night over South Haven in Wolverine Conference girls basketball action.

The Chieftains (2-16, 2-13 Wolverine) used a 14-point second quarter to take the lead over the Rams (0-19, 0-15 Wolverine).

Leading 23-16 at the break, Dowagiac scored 20 second half points to put South Haven away for the second time this season.

The Chieftains led 33-22 after three quarters.

Correisha Rodgers led all scores with 18 points for Dowagiac, which also got eight points from Keslie Primley and seven points from Carly Polomacak.

Meagan Spears led the Rams with nine points.
