CASSOPOLIS — Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his deputies handled a personal-injury traffic crash on Wade Road, a mile north of Mt. Zion Street in Calvin Township at 5:39 p.m. Friday.
Stacy Elliott, 19, from Elkhart Ind., was traveling north on Wade Road when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree.  Kaela Hoose, 19, from Granger, Ind., was also in the vehicle. Both individuals were transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Seatbelts were worn at the time of the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
