Cass County Bridges Out of Poverty hosts a Feburary networking event at the ACTION Center, 301 E. Main St., Dowagiac, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments are provided. Networking events are mixers that allow middle-class people to support the efforts of people in poverty as they follow plans to leave poverty behind.
Yogi Margaret Filchak will explain the eight paths of yoga and share asanas or basic poses designed to provide strength and energy.
Filchak, a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, an international organization of yoga instructors, will talk about the toll stress takes on our bodies and how yoga counters stress.
