STEVENSVILLE — Visiting Niles was outscored 26-16 in the second half Tuesday night as Lakeshore rolled to a 55-39 Big 16 Conference West Division girls basketball victory.

The Vikings got off to a slow start, falling behind 12-3 after one quarter to the Lancers.

Niles rebounded with 20 points in the second quarter to cut the lead to 29-23 at the intermission.

Lakeshore (14-4, 8-4 West) sealed the victory by outscoring Niles (5-13, 3-9 West) 18-10 in the third quarter to open up a 47-33 advantage.

Neither team produced much offense in the finals quarter as the two teams combined for a mere 14 points.

Taylor Brandstatter led the Vikings with 13 points, while Alexis Arnold added 10.

Kaitlin Cornwell, Cameron Taylor, Carley Dubbert and Colleen Carlson all had 10 points for the Lancers.
