Lacey Wiemuth-Peters picked her cast of characters for “Taste of Broadway.”

Niles isn’t attracting too many Broadway shows theses days.

That doesn’t mean residents of southwestern Michigan can’t get at least a sampling of Broadway culture.

Lace Dance and Fitness Studio will be putting on a “Taste of Broadway” dinner show Feb. 11 at the Four Flags Building, 404 Main St. in downtown Niles.

Lacey Wiemuth-Peters, of Lace Dance and Fitness Studio, said the show would feature a variety of singing and dancing numbers from popular Broadway shows such as  “Chicago,” “Hairspray” and “Wicked,” among others.

Chef Daysha Amster of Olfactory Hue Bistro in Niles will cater the dinner show, which runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased until the day of the event.

Peters picked local talent for the all-female cast of 12.

“The numbers are flashy and flirtatious,” Peters said.

The show is semi-formal and for people 18 and older.

“It is open to anyone who likes a good performance and good food,” Peters said. “It should be a lot of fun.”

It is a bring-your-own wine and beer event.
