Bobcats remain unbeaten in Lakeland

BRIDGMAN —Visiting Brandywine improved to 7-0 in the Lakeland Conference with a 53-38 win over Bridgman Thursday night in girls basketball.

The Bobcats (14-1 overall) led just 9-7 after one quarter of play, but opened up a 34-19 halftime advantage.

Both teams scored 19 second half points.

Mackenzie Shelton scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Bobcats offensively.

Brandywine also got 15 points from Carlie Newman. Madison Pellow added 11 points.

Sam Wagner paced the Bees with 14 points. Niki Strefling added seven points.
