S2 grant approved

The City of Dowagiac received notification from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality approving the S2 grant for a master plan study of its wastewater treatment plant.
City Manager Kevin Anderson said the total project cost is expected to be $60,000, of which MDEQ will pay as much as  $54,000.

$3,250 awarded for housing incentives

The city Design Review Committee Jan. 25 reviewed 10 applications for the housing incentive award program and the tree removal program.
A total of $3,250 was awarded for the housing incentive program and $800 in the tree program.
The housing incentive fund has a remaining balance of $3,275. The tree program has a remaining balance of $800.
