The Niles Haunted House board of directors announced Friday it will be awarding a $500 scholarship to a senior at Niles High School and a senior at Brandywine High School.

The NHS scholarship, in memory of Lou Milley, and the Brandywine scholarship, in memory of John Carlson, are awarded to students based on community service, financial need and academic merit.
In order to be considered, community service is a must.

The Lou Milley scholarship gives preferential treatment to those applicants who have a background in or plan on majoring in graphic arts.
