Valentines for veterans

The Museum at Southwestern Michigan College, on the Dowagiac campus, will host its annual Valentines for Veterans program from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 4.
Craft supplies, such as construction paper, lace and glue will be provided, along with a selection of images from vintage Valentine cards to use in the designing of the cards. The cards will be sent to the Veterans Administration Hospital and extended-care facility in Battle Creek.
There is no registration. Participants may stop by any time Feb. 4 to make cards. Visitors may also make a card to take home.
The museum will accept cards at a drop box at the front desk from Feb. 4-10.
Visitors can also visit the “Small Town, Big World” exhibit in the Tremble-Dalton Gallery where many artifacts showcasing the veterans’ experience from duty stations around the world.
