A Marcellus resident was injured in a crash on Marcellus Highway Wednesday.
Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. Reports that at 6 a.m. the office was called to investigate a traffic crash on Marcellus Highway, near Finch Road, in Marcellus Township.
Upon arrival deputies learned that 48-year-old Marcellus resident Rosemarie Guest was injured in this crash. Guest was traveling west on Marcellus Highway when she lost control of the vehicle, going off the road and striking a tree stump before reentering the roadway striking an oncoming vehicle.
The other vehicle, driven by 34-year-old Cassopolis resident Eric Hoopes, was pushed off the road striking a utility box.
Guest was transported to Borgess Hospital in Dowagiac for treatment and Hoopes was not injured.
