Dowagiac Fire Department reports a house fire at 2:45 a.m. Monday.
Lt. Robert Nelson said the department arrived at 2:50 to find the residence at 213 Andrews St. well involved with fire.
The house was a total loss. Cause is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
The homeowner was not there at the time.
The fire was brought under control at 3:45 a.m.
Dowagiac Fire was assisted by Wayne Township and Indian Lake fire departments, as well as Coloma/Pride EMS.
Firefighters cleared the scene at 5:30 a.m.
