Eddies defeated by Paw Paw

PAW PAW — An 18-point third quarter helped host Paw Paw defeat Edwardsburg 45-36 Tuesday night in girls’ basketball.

The Eddies, who will join the Wolverine Conference next year, were tied with the Redskins at 4-4 after one period of play, but trailed 20-14 at halftime.

Paw Paw (2-1) broke open the game by outscoring the Eddies (1-1) 18-9 in the third quarter to take a 15-point advantage (38-23) into the final quarter.

Selena Martinez led the Redskins with a game-high 17 points.

Edwardsburg’s Sarah D’Amico also had 17 points. Ashley Streb and Brooke Portwood both finished with six points for the Eddies.
