Watervliet city officials announced the precautionary water boil order was rescinded at 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
This order was in effect for all Watervliet city water system customers, including city residents and portions of Watervliet Township residents.
Three days of water sampling and testing have been completed with negative results for bacteriological contamination.
This precautionary testing was a result of the broken water distribution main damaged by constructions crews Nov. 29.  The incident caused  a loss of water pressure to portions of the service area, according to Mayor David Brinker.
