During the last quarter of 2011 the Cass County Republican Party and Cass County 912 Tea Party are hosting “Meet Cass County” town hall forums for the respective GOP U.S. Senate candidates.
The fourth candidate scheduled to “Meet Cass County” Wednesday is former Niles resident Clark Durant, who will be in the county for three public forums as a Republican contender for the Senate seat currently held by Democrat Debbie Stabenow:
• Cass County Council on Aging, Decatur Road off M-60, Cassopolis, 12:30 p.m.
• Ontwa Township Hall across from Lunkers, Edwardsburg, 2:30 p.m.
• Cass District Library, M-62, Cassopolis, 7 p.m.
Through these events, the Tea and Republican Parties look forward to introducing Cass County to the candidates and learning more from each participating candidate regarding their positions concerning the 2012 U.S. Senate race.
