Join the Volunteer Center of Southwest Michigan and First Church of God in celebrating National Family Volunteer Day from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 19.
First Church of God is located at 2627 Niles Ave., St. Joseph.
There will be a variety of activities to choose from and participants will be able to learn how they can be involved in the community all year long.
Make cards for military personnel (Blue Star Mothers will send to those serving overseas); make toys for Save a Stray animals; decorate placemats for senior center meal sites (Senior Nutrition); join MSU Extension in making personal care kits; read stories about serving with the St. Joseph Public Library; ring the Salvation Army bell and enjoy many other fun activities available to families.
Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to attend on their own or as a family.
