The website Haunted House Chicago has named the Niles Haunted House Scream Park to its “Official 2011 Top 13” list.
This year’s Scream Park enlisted 150 to 200 volunteers per night to help entertain for its attractions: CarnEvil, Field of Screams, Dark Terror-tory Haunted Hayride, Niles Haunted House, Underworld Unleashed and special nightly performances.
The 44-acre Scream Park, which wrapped up for the season Oct. 31, was the only Michigan attraction to make the list.
A Haunted House Chicago team visited 36 attractions before naming its top 13.
A Scream Park actress was also recognized by Haunted House Chicago. EmmaLeigh Smith, who performs as “Nancy” at the Scream Park and at the Wisconsin Feargrounds in Waukesha, Wis., was honored with the Jim Warfield Acting Award.
