Pokagon United Methodist Church of Dowagiac is sponsoring a holiday bazaar 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lions Club, 28606 Bluebird.
Bazaar proceeds benefit the church’s backpack food ministry.
Pokagon UMC fills 26 backpacks with enough food and drink for six meals and snacks so 26 local children can have enough to eat over the weekend.
The organization would like to feed more children. Filling backpacks with enough food and drink costs $6 a week.
Visitors to the holiday bazaar can enjoy breakfast or lunch and shop from a variety of vendors. There will be a Secret Santa shop where children can shop for gifts for family members.
Church ladies will have a bake sale.
Santa will visit about noon.
