National Family Volunteer Day celebration Nov. 19

Join the Volunteer Center of Southwest Michigan and First Church of God in celebrating National Family Volunteer Day on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon. First Church of God is located at 2627 Niles Ave., St. Joseph.
There will be a variety of activities. Make cards for military personnel (Blue Star Mothers will send to those serving overseas); make toys for Save a Stray animals; decorate placemats for senior center meal sites (Senior Nutrition); join MSU Extension in making personal care kits; read stories about serving with the St. Joseph Public Library; ring the Salvation Army bell and enjoy many other fun activities.
Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to attend on their own or as a family.
