Two men were rescued from Dewey Lake in Cass County Saturday after high winds caused their boat to capsize.
Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that on Saturday at 10:25 a.m, deputies responded to a capsized boat on Dewey Lake in Silver Creek Township.
Karl Power, 61, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Monroe Schuster, 75, of Anderson, Ind., were fishing on Dewey Lake when high winds caused the boat to rock.
Schuster lost his balance and the boat capsized.
Both Power and Schuster were able to hang on to the capsized boat until rescue crews were able to pull them from the water.
Power and Schuster were uninjured.
Assisting the sheriff’s office was Sister Lakes Fire and Ambulance.
