EHS cross country gets split

DOWAGIAC — The Edwardsburg and Berrien Springs cross country teams split their meeting at Edwardsburg Monday.

The Edwardsburg girls’ team won 19-39 and the Berrien Springs boys pulled out a close one beating the Eddies boys 26-29.

For the girls, Edwardsburg’s Aubrey Ritchey had the fastest time clocking in at 20:33 and the Eddies finished with four runners in the top five.

Berrien Springs’ Cameron Collier finished first for the boys with a time of 19:37 while the Eddies top finisher was Andrew VanKirk at 19:52. The Shamrocks finished with three runners in the top five.

The Eddies cross country team will return to action next Saturday at the Sturgis invitational at 10 a.m.
