Cass County prosecutor appointed by governor

LANSING — Gov. Rick Snyder announced appointments to the Michigan Citizen-Community Emergency Response Coordinating Council (MCCERCC) and the Crime Victim Services Commission.
The Crime Victim Services Commission works to increase and enhance victim assistance in communities throughout Michigan.
Donald Condit and Victor Fitz are appointed.
Condit, of Grand Rapids, is an orthopedic hand, wrist and elbow specialist at Donald P. Condit, MD, PLLC.
Fitz is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Michigan Sheriff’s Association and Dowagiac Rotary Club.
He earned both a bachelor’s degree in history and a law degree from Valparaiso University in Indiana.
Fitz will represent those admitted to practice law in the state not less than five years immediately preceding his or her appointment.
He replaces Frank Rhodes.
The appointees will serve a three-year term expiring Sept. 27, 2014.
Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
