The Second Baptist Church, 203 South Paul St., Dowagiac, invites the public to its 62nd Annual Women’s Day celebration Sunday, Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m.
The theme is “Holding On To Your Faith,” Hebrews 11:1-40 and St. Matthew 9: 20-22
Geraldine Gavin, first lady at Second Baptist Church in Benton Harbor, will be the guest speaker.
She is a Sunday School teacher, first vice president of Missionary Ministry, Congress of Christian Education workshop coordinator, Chain Lake Baptist District Association treasurer and third vice president of Women’s Auxiliary.
She retired from the State of Michigan, and worked in Dowagiac at the Michigan Employment Security Commission in 1979 as the manager.
She received an associate’s degree from Lake Michigan College and bachelor of arts degree in management from Spring Arbor University.
She is a member of Berrien County Association of Churches and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
