The Niles City Police Department is providing free personal document paper shredding from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Niles Law Enforcement Complex lobby.

The department recommends shredding any documents with birthrates, Social Security numbers, bank account numbers and tax information to prevent identity theft.
