Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announces that on Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the 19,000 block of U.S. 12 in Mason Township, two subjects were arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine.

Detectives from the drug team along with agents from parole and probation conducted an investigation into methamphetamine at a residence.

Investigators report locating multiple used “one-pot”-style methamphetamine labs, meth components, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine inside the residence.

Police arrested two adults at the scene.

One male and one female were taken into custody and lodged at the Cass County Jail for manufacturing methamphetamine, producing hazardous waste, possession of methamphetamine, and maintaining a drug house.

The male subject was on parole for a methamphetamine-related conviction.

Methadone sales lead to arrest in Silver Creek

Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announces that on Wednesday, Sept. 7, in the 51,000 block of Townhall Road in Silver Creek Township detectives executed a search warrant at a residence.

The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into prescription methadone sales.

Hundreds of prescription medications were seized as well as more than 300 methadone tablets.

One adult female was arrested at the scene by law enforcement.

The female subject was lodged at the Cass County Jail for delivery of a schedule 2 controlled substance methadone, possession with intent to deliver methadone, maintaining a drug house and an outstanding warrant for delivery of methadone.

This matter remains under investigation.
