Brandywine Community Schools 2011-12 vital information

First day of school for all students grades K-12 will be on Tuesday, Sept. 6 with a regular full-day schedule for grades 7-12, and a half day for grades K-6. Orientation for seventh grade will be Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. in the Brandywine Middle/Senior High School gym.
All new enrollees should bring a copy of their immunization record, birth certificate and proof of residency when enrolling. Students must meet current Michigan Department of Health immunization requirements before they begin school.

Merritt Elementary School; Preschool and Grades K-2

Morning “Developmental” Kindergarten and preschool begin at 8:30 a.m. and dismiss at 11:37 a.m.
Afternoon “Developmental” Kindergarten and preschool begin at 12:07 p.m. and dismiss at 3:15 p.m.
Grades K-2 begin at 8:30 a.m. and dismiss at 3:15 p.m.

Schedules will be given to students in grades 8-12 on the first day of school. Students in seventh grade will receive their class schedule at orientation Aug. 31.

Bell Education Center — Alternative and Adult
Education Classes

Enrollment is taking place daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Bell Education Alternative/Adult Education Program Office, 1830 South Third St., Niles.
Start Date: Alternative and Adult Education Classes will begin Tuesday, Sept. 6. Sessions are: Monday through Friday, 8 to 11 a.m. and noon to 3 p.m. ; Monday through Thursday, 3:30 to 7 p.m.
Child care services are provided for participating students only, from 8 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday.
