Union Coffee House will celebrate one year of business Friday. Its all-weekend birthday party will be Friday through Sunday..
It will kick off the celebration Friday with  drink and specialty food options all day, Birthday Cake Lattes and Celebration Smoothies; a slice of birthday cake for everyone; and coffee raffles.  Friday evening kicks off a three-night concert series:
• Friday — The Return of Larry Platz and Uncle John Potthast, original singer/songwriters; concert starts at 8 p.m.
• Saturday — The Dillon Brothers — Doug Rice and Jumpin Gene Halton — is a special brand of blues and cool shoes; concert starts at 8 p.m.
• Sunday — Special CD release party for Monte Michel Bleu’s “Songs Between Truth and Lies;” concert starts at 4 p.m. Wear a favorite hat for the hat contest.
Union Coffee House is located at 115 Front St., Buchanan.
