CASSOPOLIS — Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his deputies handled a personal-injury crash on M-60 near Dailey Road at 5:21 p.m. June 10 in Jefferson Township.

Essie Gentle, 81 of Elkhart, Ind., was traveling north on Dailey Road when she failed to yield at the stop sign on M-60.

She went through the stop sign and struck a vehicle traveling west on M-60.

The second vehicle was driven by Rebecca Pollock, 27, of Niles.

She was traveling with her two children, Halle Borders, 4, and Ellah Borders, 1.

All three individuals were taken to Lakeland Hospital in Niles for treatment of their injuries.

Life Care Ambulance and Cassopolis Fire assisted deputies at the scene of the accident.

Seatbelts and car seats were utilized at the time of the accident, which remains under investigation.
