Cheryl Lovas of Orlando, Fla. and Corey Thacker of Niles were married April 30, 2011 at Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee, Fla.

The bride is the daughter of Laura and Dr. Rich Lovas of Florida.

The groom is the son of Debbie and Timothy Vella.

Cheryl completed four years of college at the University of Florida and is a registered nurse.

Corey completed two years of college at Lake Michigan College and one year at Coastal Carolina University, and has served four years the U.S. Navy. He is stationed at Camp Legeune, N.C. where he is a petty officer third class. He has been reassigned to Bremerton Naval Hospital in Washington starting in July.
