CASSOPOLIS — Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. announces that the Cass County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on Tuesday, April 19, in the 200 block of E. Dibble Street in Marcellus.

The Sheriff’s Office received several theft reports in the Marcellus area an the weekend of April 15.

Deputies acted on a tip regarding these larcenies and secured a search warrant for a residence in the Village of Marcellus.

Upon searching the residence, stolen firearms and stolen property were discovered.

One subject was arrested on a preliminary charge of receiving and concealing stolen property over $1,000.

This matter remains under investigation.
