CASSOPOLIS — Cass County Apportionment Commission sets up shop Monday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m. in the Kincheloe room of the 1899 courthouse.

The panel has until June 6 to complete redistricting which follows each census every 10 years.

“Then we will be meeting thereafter on Mondays and Thursdays excluding April 21, April 28 and May 2 until a plan is adopted by a majority of the board,” Clerk-Register Barb Runyon apprised the Board of Commissioners Thursday night.

Runyon, Treasurer Linda Irwin, Prosecutor Victor Fitz and representatives of each party make up the panel, which the last time commissioner districts were redrawn went from seven members to the current 15.
