The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joyce Smith of Troy and the late Don Smith.

Her grandparents are the late Ruth Smith and the late Mona Armstrong and Don Armstrong of Farmington Hills.

The bride-elect graduated from Troy High School in 2001 and graduated from Western Michigan University, where she studied psychology.

Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Beth and Dave Mahar of Dowagiac.

His grandparents are the late Janet and Bob Wood and Louise and Jack Mahar of Belding.

Mr. Mahar graduated from Dowagiac Union High School in 2001 and studied interpersonal communication at WMU.

He is employed by Meridian Title Corp.
