Edwardsburg meth labs discovered, arrest made

Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announced that on Monday, April 4, detectives located the remains of multiple prior methamphetamine labs in the 68000 block of Cass Street in Edwardsburg.
Investigators were acting on a tip that led them to the residence where multiple adults and three children were living.
Items related to the manufacture, sale and use of methamphetamine were located at the property.
One adult male subject was arrested at the scene.
The subject was lodged at the Cass County Jail in Cassopolis for manufacturing methamphetamine within 500 feet of a residence, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.
That subject was awaiting arraignment in Fourth District Court.
The Child Protective Services division of the Department of Human Services was called to the residence. The three children at the home were turned over to CPS custody.
This matter remains under investigation.
