Larry Clayton Stover, 82, of Niles, passed away at his home Monday, March 28, 2011 with his family by his side.

Larry was born Feb. 13, 1929 to the late Emery and Lydia (Loos) Stover of Niles. After graduating from high school Larry wed the love of his life, Barbara Fausch, at a ceremony in Niles on July 3, 1949. Together they raised two children.

After 30 years of service for the post office Larry retired and tended a big garden. He loved every minute that he was able to spend outdoors. Watching birds from his picture window gave Larry many hours of enjoyment. He will be sadly missed by his family and all those who loved him.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Lydia ,and his sisters, Venora “Vicky” Lambert and Claudine Gitchell.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barb; son, Larry (Jane) Stover Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter, Dorothy (Terry) Martin of Niles; grandchildren, Jacinda E. Stover, Larry (Diana) Stover III, Maria Martin and Terry (Brenda Ball) Martin Jr.; great-grandchildren, Austin and Lauren Stover, Tara Martin and Steven Prewitt; and sisters, Delores Longbrake and Patricia DePoy.

Larry has been cremated and his family will be remembering him privately.
